Fractional Data Lead

Forward, an AI‑driven insurance underwriting firm, is hiring a Fractional Data Lead to serve as a lead data engineer working alongside their Chief Data & Analytics Officer. The primary mandate is completing the rollout of their Snowflake‑based data lake to support AI‑driven underwriting and analytics. Success means a production‑grade data platform with reliable pipelines, well‑modeled data, and clear interfaces for data science and machine learning workloads. The role is hands‑on, involving design and implementation of data architecture, performance tuning, and the creation of a foundation for future ML models, while operating on a fractional, contract basis.
